This presentation will explore the effects of this practice in terms of: short and long term health effects; topography of smoking cannabis compared to tobacco; myths about components of smoke; the initiation of young people to a lifelong dependence on nicotine through the practice of mixing cannabis with tobacco; the effects of tobacco smoke, as distinct from the effects of cannabis; the effect on mental health; and the difficulties in quitting either cannabis or tobacco while still smoking the other substance.
